The trip

Getting there and getting about

Checked 14 October 2026.

Airport to the venue by train and ferry

Take the Canada Line from YVR to Waterfront Station (about 25 minutes), then the SeaBus to Lonsdale Quay (12 minutes). The hotel is a 2-3 minute walk from the SeaBus terminal. One fare covers both if you tap the same card within 90 minutes. Journeys from YVR add a CAD 6.50 AddFare on top of the zone fare: on a weekday before 6:30pm this is a 3-zone trip, CAD 6.70 by contactless card; after 6:30pm and at weekends every trip is 1-zone, CAD 3.50.

Airport to the venue by taxi

Taxis leave from Arrivals Level 2. YVR's flat zone fares stop at the inlet (CAD 46 to Canada Place and downtown), so a ride to North Vancouver goes on the meter, with a CAD 4 airport charge added. Tips are extra. North Shore Taxi is one of the licensed YVR operators.

The SeaBus

From Waterfront it sails every 10 minutes at weekday peaks, every 15 minutes the rest of the day and every 30 minutes late at night. The last weekday sailing from Waterfront is 1:22am, so a downtown hotel works fine after the evening socials.

Getting around

Contactless debit and credit cards and phone wallets work at every SkyTrain and SeaBus gate. A single fare is CAD 3.50 for 1 zone, CAD 5.10 for 2 zones, and a DayPass covering all zones costs CAD 12.55.

Weather

October on Vancouver's harbour averages about 14°C by day and 9°C at night, with rain on around 17 days of the month (Environment Canada 1991-2020 normals). Bring a waterproof.

When to arrive and leave

Day one starts at 10:00 on Monday 26 October, with breakfast treats from 9:00. Day two opens with the Mastermind Breakfast at 8:00 on Tuesday 27 and officially adjourns at 16:30, with a casual meet-up from 18:00. Paid extras listed on the agenda's Pre-Day tab: an AI Digital Twin workshop (10:00-14:00, CAD 695) and a Mastermind Peer-Group (14:00-16:00, CAD 495); contact ChannelNEXT for details.

Hotel group rate

ChannelNEXT's group rates at the venue (CAD 259 standard, CAD 289 Superior Harbourview) were bookable until 5 October 2026 through the link in the registration email. Room rates in BC carry 3% MRDT, 5% GST and 8% PST.
