The trip

Getting there and getting about

Checked 14 October 2026.

Airport to the venue

The Austin Marriott Downtown is 6.5 miles from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and does not run a shuttle. CapMetro bus Route 20 leaves from the stop on the lower level just outside baggage claim every 15 to 30 minutes and takes about 35 minutes to downtown, for $1.25. Uber puts the average AUS to Austin Marriott Downtown ride at $32 and 19 minutes.

Getting around

Most of what's on this page is walkable from the hotel. CapMetro buses cost $1.25 a ride and tapping your phone or card caps the fare at $2.50 a day. The nearest MetroRail station is Downtown, on East 4th Street.

Money and plugs

The currency is the US dollar. Sockets are type A and B, 120 V, 60 Hz, so UK visitors need an adapter.

Weather

Late October in Austin averages daytime highs of about 77-80°F (25-27°C) and lows of about 57-60°F (14-16°C).

That week in Austin

The Formula 1 United States Grand Prix runs at Circuit of the Americas from 22 to 25 October, the days before MSP NXT, so book flights early. The Texas Capitol runs a seasonal Halloween tour in October.

Tickets and hotels

MSP NXT 2026 is sold out, with a waitlist on NinjaOne's site. Badges are needed at every MSP NXT event and there are no guest passes. The discounted rooms at the Austin Marriott Downtown and the Courtyard closed on 5 October.

When to arrive and leave

Registration opens at 12:00 on Tuesday 27 October, with workshops from 12:30 and the welcome happy hour at 17:30. The last workshops finish at 14:45 on Thursday 29 October.
