Getting there and getting about

Checked 2 November 2026.

Which airport

The organiser puts the hotel 8 miles from LaGuardia (LGA), 15 miles from Newark (EWR) and 17 miles from JFK.

From JFK

Take the AirTrain ($8.75) to Jamaica, then the subway: the E runs from Sutphin Blvd-Archer Av straight to 5 Av/53 St and 7 Av, both a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The MTA puts the total at $11.75 ($3 subway plus $8.75 AirTrain). The Long Island Rail Road from Jamaica to Penn Station or Grand Central is the other way in: $5.25 off-peak or $7.25 peak plus the AirTrain. A yellow cab is a $70 flat fare to Manhattan plus surcharges, tolls and tip, per the NYC Taxi and Limousine Commission.

From LaGuardia

The Q70 LaGuardia Link bus is free from Terminals B and C to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Avenue/74 St-Broadway, where the E train runs to 5 Av/53 St and 7 Av. A yellow cab is the metered fare plus a $5 LaGuardia surcharge and the usual surcharges.

From Newark

Take AirTrain Newark to Newark Liberty International Airport Station, then NJ Transit to New York Penn Station, about 30 minutes. NJ Transit lists $17.25 for an adult ticket, and the $8.75 AirTrain fee is included in it. From Penn Station it is a short subway ride uptown.

Getting around

A subway or local bus ride is $3; tap a contactless card or phone with OMNY. Five stations are within about 7 minutes' walk of the hotel: 7 Av (B, D, E), 57 St (M weekdays, F nights and weekends), 57 St-7 Av (N, Q, R, W), 5 Av/53 St (E, F) and 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Center (B, D, F, M).

Money and plugs

The currency is the US dollar. Sockets are type A and B, 120 V, 60 Hz, so UK visitors need an adapter.

Weather

Early December in New York averages highs of about 10°C and lows of about 3°C, with about a one-in-four chance of a wet day (Weather Spark). The coat check on Level 2 is there for the heavy coat.

That week in New York

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is lit on Wednesday 2 December, so it is up for the summit week. The CRN Women of the Year Awards Gala closes the summit on the Tuesday night at The Pier Sixty Collection.

Tickets and hotels

Register on The Channel Company's site; the Gala and the BlackHawk Data roundtable each need their own registration. Book the Hilton through the Hilton Midtown link on the organiser's venue page. Hilton check-in is 3pm and check-out 12pm, and the Level 2 coat check takes luggage on the Tuesday.
